Word seems to have better editing tools and I hope Scrivner catches up soon. This is a long method of doing it, but it keeps my editors from griping at me when I mess up on third grade words.

Some prefer one over the other. You can upload your OneNote directly into your Scrivner and split the screen the exact same way the author does with Evernote. You can also save bits and pieces of the web into OneNote. I personally prefer OneNote but I have been using it for years and feel more comfortable with it.

I’ve been using Evernote but think scrivener looks better for me. I have a Windows laptop and an iPhone and like to make impromptu idea notes when I’m out and about, sometimes i’ll write a bit of description so I love that no matter where I am I can get to my book on Evernote (so I sometimes log into evernote via their website when writing at the library pc) and it syncs really well. Would scrivener sync like this between my pc and phone. I understand i’d have to buy scriv twice, as stated on their website, but I don’t mind that if they can sync!

By the little bits and pieces I am quite intriqued what your novel is about – seems a modern war in ancient Egypt – very thrilling. Whish you good luck with your first novel and hope to see you on NaNoWriMo upcoming November.

I’ve started using Dropbox more as well, too, and it’s a great solution! iAWriter is a great syncing solution for the writing side of things.
